Product Description

SmartSwipe is the new, smarter, more secure way to shop online. The SmartSwipe is the world’s first truly secure personal credit card reader. When you install SmartSwipe, you can swipe your credit card at your home or office computer just like you would in a store. Plug the SmartSwipe into your computer’s USB port, go shopping to your favorite online stores and swipe your credit card – it is that easy. The best part is that you know your credit card information is safe and secure. Did you know that even the strongest internet security does not completely protect you while you shop online? Traditional internet security will protect your information once it has reached the internet, but hackers can still access your personal information while it is being entered into your computer and/or while it resides in memory. Anti-virus software and firewalls are no longer enough to protect you. With SmartSwipe your information is safe from the moment you swipe your card and your card information is never stored on your computer. If you want to be safe while shopping online you need SmartSwipe.

I purchased this item because it was recommended by our local TV station. They have a program called "Let Bill buy it and try it". He went to the extreme of using a person to buy items on the internet and then had a computer guy hack in and get the information on her card. Even on secure sites he was able to get all the information on her card. When she used the swipe he was only able to get the minimal information that is unable to be used.

I first seen this in PC World magazine. Even though the web sites that I order from are secure and never had my charge card number stolen, I want extra protection NetSecure Card Reader provides. It is easy to install on your computer. It will pop up on the web page when searching for an item. It prompts you when ready to charge the card. After using the Reader, I disconnect it until I am ready to use it again.

The smartswipe is so easy to use, and it makes me worry free about buying online. They should have thought of this years ago.

Works great-- When you are ordreing on the computer and you get to the point where you need to put in your credit card info. a small window pops up,then plug the card reader into a USB port on your computer, swipe your card through it and the info. pops encrypted onto the order blanks, thats all you do.
